Product Review: Valentia Serum

I recently received Valentia’s Night Revive Retinol Serum. The only other serum I tried was L’oreal’s Dark Spot Correcting & Illuminating Serum, which I used underneath my moisturizer nightly. It seemed to help keep my face hydrated and supple, so I decided to try this serum out.

Valentia states that this product is:

A transformative retinol serum that fights wrinkles and provides hydration, for visibly smoother, rejuvenated skin.
This Retinol Serum Will:
-Diminishes wrinkles
-Stimulates collagen
-Improves skin tone
-Manages breakouts
-Conditions skinSpecially selected ingredients work together to achieve optimum results.KEY INGREDIENTS:
-Retinol (Vitamin A): Works at the cellular level to stop winkles, manage breakouts, and evens out skin discoloration.
-Vitamin C: Guards skin against environmental free-radicals to prevent premature aging.
-Vitamin E: Provides intense hydration to diminish the drying effects of retinol.
-Squalane: Derived for pure olive oil to soften and condition delicate skin.

I have been using this product for a couple nights and it hasn’t irritated my skin yet. No magic has happened yet, but healing and improving skin takes time. My skin type is combination, where I am oilier on my forehead, chin and around my nose. Lately my cheeks (the area right under my eye bags) are dry so hopefully this serum will help my skin absorb my moisturizer better and not be so flaky (since I had been using tea tree oil to dry out some acne spots). I also have acne scars, so I’ll check in and update the blog post to let you all know if this serum helps with fading my scars and preventing future breakouts.
